unfortunately the photographer and camera had some problems during the Peeta/Katniss part of the shoot, but i still like the pictures. We’ll be doing this again in a few months, hopefully with better results.

My Mockingjay uniform as of last night at the Labyrinth of Jareth ball. It still has some work for SDCC coming up in two weeks, but this was just for the ball. Also, since it was a masquerade ball, my friend did my make-up all dramatic and mask-like to sort of be like she was in the propro. For cons and photo shoots, I’ll be doing the battle version.Also pictured is my amazing friend Lola who is in the Hunger Games book version of the interview dress. I really liked the before and after symmetry we have.Though the sun made it really difficult to do facial expressions, which is why we either look angry or derp.
Here is my Mockingjay Uniform progress! I just finished the sleeves. I still need to make the hood and chest/back body armor and modify my quiver in time for LoJ (Labyrinth of Jareth Ball on June 30). I’m not bringing a bow and arrows to the ball, so I can wait on those items. I’m also still planning all the little accoutrements to go with it (pouches on boots, fake arm bandage, etc).
For the ball, I’m going to do her promo version with all the make-up, but for the cons and photo shoots, I’ll be doing her actual battle version.

Since getting The Hunger Games soundtrack, I always thought of the song Kingdom Come to be the song for Katniss and Gale. I still really do, but last night I was listening to other songs by The Civil Wars and it hit me.
The song Poison & Wine fits them to a tee! So everthorne fans, if you want a good cry, listen to this song with them in mind. (I didn’t watch this music video, just listened to the lyrics.)
